Fatal Chord
Soho · The Pub
An American musician turns up strangled in a Soho back alley, moments after his final set at a local pub. Nothing was taken. Robbery was never the motive.
Case File № 4127360 · Scotland Yard
A cozy noir puzzle game where you investigate the dark underbelly of London. Statements conflict, alibis don't add up, and everyone has a motive. Only logic reveals the truth.
The Brief
Everyone has a motive. Only logic reveals the truth.
London, the 1960s. A handful of suspects, each with an alibi, each with something to hide. The statements contradict one another, and exactly one of them is lying. No guesswork. No luck. Just you, the evidence, and the quiet click of a case falling into place.
Three cases.One unforgiving city.
Closed logic puzzles.Every detail matters.
Hand-drawn noir.A gentle jazz score.
5–30 minutes a case.Solve at your own pace.
Case Notes
Every investigation is a closed logic puzzle. Gather suspect information, uncover environmental clues, and sort through conflicting accounts to deduce who is lying. Guesswork won't take you far. Success comes from seeing which facts don't add up.
The 'Big Smoke' never slows down, and neither does the work. Tackle three distinct cases across the iconic city, from a strangled musician in a Soho alley to the night every clock at Big Ben stopped. Rise from bumbling rookie to one of Scotland Yard's brightest.
A brighter take on 1960s noir: hand-drawn 2D scenes, a gentle jazz-inspired soundtrack, soft rain and quiet moments. Subtle shadows set the mood. Settle into this cozy brain teaser and solve each case at your own pace.
The Method
Pure deduction, start to finish. Read the statements, map the logic, and reason your way to the one suspect whose story falls apart.
Interview suspects and witnesses. Every line is a clue, or a lie waiting to be caught.
Lay the accounts side by side. When two truths can't both hold, one of them breaks.
Pin each suspect to a time, a place, a motive. Watch the alibis buckle under pressure.
One solution. Fully provable. Close the file and earn your reputation at the Yard.
The Files
Each file is a self-contained mystery, roughly 5 to 30 minutes of pure deduction.
